JUDAS PRIEST's GLENN TIPTON Scales New Heights For Christmas
December 23, 2004JUDAS PRIEST have just wrapped up the initial publicity blitz for their upcoming album, "Angel of Retribution", and are taking the next two weeks off before coming back to continue promoting the release. Lead guitarist Glenn Tipton told Launch Radio Networks where he'll be headed for the holiday break. "I'm gonna go home for Christmas, spend it with my family," he said. "I might go to Switzerland and climb the north face of the Eiger, but...I am actually going to Switzerland, and I am actually going to the Eiger, but I can't see me climbing the north face. I'll do a bit of snowboarding maybe."
The Eiger is a mountain in the Swiss Alps. Its north face is nearly 6,000 feet high and has claimed the lives of many climbers attempting to scale it.
"Angel of Retribution", the band's first album with singer Rob Halford in over fourteen years, arrives on March 1.
The first single, "Revolution", is expected to hit rock radio in early January.
